Jim Flink has been with KMBC since 1995, serving as morning and weekend anchor, and as reporter for the No. 1 ABC affiliate in America.

His work has been featured on "Larry King Live," "The Oprah Winfrey Show," CNN, BBC, NBC-Mutual Radio and the Korean Broadcasting System. He has been awarded a regional Emmy and anchored the newscast that won both the national Edward R. Murrow Award and the top national honor from Sigma Delta Chi.

Jim was chosen the 2005 Pitch Weekly magazine's "Best TV Personality of the Year."

He has worked with the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), working with third-world journalists, taught peers and students in the Philippines, and has served as an adjunct professor at Avila and Park universities.

Jim received his B.A. in political science from Westminster College, and his M.A. in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he was named the Dow Corp. and Edward R. Murrow award winner, signifying the school's top graduate student.

Jim and his wife, Jamie, are the proud parents of two sons and make their home in Parkville.
