Mother, Children Thrown From Vehicle During Crash
Victims' Conditions Not Released

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Three children and their mother were ejected from a vehicle in a crash in Kansas City, Kan., Monday evening.
It happened at 67th and Parallel Parkway around 6:45 p.m. According to police, the family was in a Pontiac Sunfire going west on Parallel when a red Mustang pulled out from 67th Street. The Sunfire apparently swerved to miss the Mustang and hit the median. The Sunfire flipped on its top and then struck another vehicle. The Mustang left the scene before officers arrived.Motorist Brandy Rudy witnessed the crash.
"We were trying to slam on the brakes because the babies were sliding down the road," she said.Rudy said the children and their mother were all conscious when paramedics arrived. They were transported to an area hospital, where their conditions have not been released.The driver and a passenger in the other car were also taken to hospitals.
