KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A driver crashed into a light pole on 63rd Street near Interstate 435 Friday evening, causing serious injuries.Police said the driver was traveling almost 60 mph on 63rd Street when the driver lost control and hit a utility pole.The driver had to be extricated from the car. The driver was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
No one else was injured.A section of 63rd Street was closed for several hours while crews cleared the wreck.
